Apple is Lame, Rejects AMG Beefcake! Update
5 Comments Published by AMG September 15th, 2009 in AMG NewsIn a move that rivals the stupidity of mid-20th Century obscenity trials, Apple computers sent us an e-mail this morning stating that the update to our second iPhone App, “AMG Beefcake! 1.1″ was rejected on grounds of “objectionable content.” They suggested that we “reference the attachments for examples.” Those attachments are pictured above.
Here are just a few reasons why this is maybe the stupidest thing we’ve heard all month:
1. The images are still available in the first version of AMG Beefcake! in the iTunes store
2. A shirtless man is about as offensive as a bare ankle
3. The iTunes app store is crawling with images of nearly naked women
4. Apple is supposed to be cool
5. These images were deemed acceptable by the federal government in the 50s
If you can think of any more reasons why this is absolutely lame, leave a comment, and please, don’t hold back.

The only reason I can think of, having not seen the rest of the photos yet, is that it’s something about the hole in the jeans and the white underwear peaking through. However, considering that bikinis are little more than socially acceptable, street-legal underwear I’d think that these pictures would be *more* decent than the ones of women.
Odd.
It’s clear that there’s a theme here – they’re wearing layers: jeans and underwear.
We thought Apple was cool and they’re not. Maybe they are homophobic. Who knows, at least we know what is cool and what is not.
Hey Guys,
Apple have had allot of bad press in recent months over their ‘questionable’ rejections to seemingly inappropriate applications / revision updates. I would suggest a counter reply with feasible reasons such as the ones stated and hopefully they will retract the rejection.
I personally see nothing wrong with it and in all likelihood, the right counter reply should get their attention enough to accept it into the app store
